GoPro HERO13 Black Extensive leaks have unveiled their specifications.
GoPro HERO 13 is expected to announce its new action cameras officially in the coming days. In the meantime, a trusted source has revealed additional details about the GoPro HERO13 Black. It seems that the HERO13 Black will closely resemble the HERO12 Black in many aspects.
About two weeks ago, the first solid details about GoPro HERO 13 upcoming action camera surfaced online. The leak also hinted that GoPro might be working on a more affordable model this year, in addition to a second-generation MAX camera that was teased last year.
GoPro HERO13:-
It looks like the GoPro HERO13 Black will feature the same 27 MP camera as the previous model. The new camera is expected to support video recording up to 5.3K at 60 FPS, and 120 FPS at 4K resolution. It seems GoPro will continue using HyperSmooth 6.0 and HDR features from the HERO12 Black.
The GoPro HERO13 Black will come with a 1,900 mAh battery, which should provide around 1.5 hours of recording time at 4K/30 or 5.3K/30, and up to 3 hours at 1080p. The new model will also include updated Macro and Ultra Wide lenses, offering 4x zoom and 177° field of view, with automatic adjustments for the Ultra Wide lens. Overall, it appears that GoPro is mainly differentiating the HERO13 Black from its predecessor through new accessories and improved heat dissipation.
Based on my experience with high-end video cameras and DSLRs, I believe improving battery technology could play a significant role. Currently, third-party batteries tend to cause higher temperatures compared to original ones, although the original batteries also contribute to the heat issue. Both software and hardware factors are involved. Since original batteries aren’t very expensive and aren’t a major profit driver compared to other accessories, GoPro might consider releasing some of their battery-related patents to address these issues.
